About 116 State Street: This historic Richardsonian brownstone and brick building was built in 1891, and has been home to the Vermont Department of Agriculture since 1921. Smith-Alvarez-Sienkiewycz Architects was initially hired for building envelope restoration to resolve moisture infiltration issues in the building. The ongoing construction includes foundation insulation, waterproofing and drainage system, masonry and window restoration and replacement of the existing asphalt shingle roof with a new slate and copper roof system.
